    This Girl Can Swim

The swimming session for every woman.

    Beginner? Come on in.

Good swimmer, but you haven’t been for a while? Come on in.

Frightened of the water? Come on in…slowly, of course – we’ve got you.

Working alongside Sport England, the people behind the super successful This Girl Can campaign, we’re running women-only swimming sessions designed to suit you.

Non-judgemental, supportive, scheduled flexibly – that’s This Girl Can Swim.

    Wear what you like

We know it’s not just about the water. What are you going to wear? Some costumes can make you feel you’re standing in your underwear – in front of a bunch of strangers!

So at This Girl Can Swim, you wear what’s comfortable for you. This could be shorts and a t-shirt, or whatever cossie you feel relaxed in. No-one’s judging anyone at these sessions. It’s about you being in the water and getting the physical and mental benefits that brings.

    Me time!

Do you make time to do the things you enjoy? Or, do you want to try new things but never take the plunge? Swimming and just being in water is a great way to de-stress, de-clutter your mind and just feel alive.

Forget about your phone for a moment, don’t worry about emails…it’s just you, the water and a friendly, supportive atmosphere. The people in your life will benefit, as you’ll be more relaxed, have more energy and be more in the moment.

    Here’s what to expect

You’re never alone with This Girl Can Swim. From the moment you arrive at the pool, your experience begins. One of our friendly staff will make sure you’re shown where to go and get you settled in.

    Changing rooms

We’ll take you to the changing rooms, show you where everything is and how it works. They’ll be lockers for your valuables, but we also give you a box to put any items you want to take pool-side. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our changing rooms and the power of our hairdryers!

Once you’ve changed, we’ll take you to the pool and be on hand to provide guidance and support, or just to be a friendly face while you’re getting used to things.

Bring a robe, if you’d feel more comfortable in one. How long you keep it on is up to you. Our staff understand how people can feel at swimming pools and have had been trained specifically for the This Girl Can Swim sessions.
