Class Descriptions

50+ Active
Lower intensity classes designed for those over 50. Aimed to improve stamina, strength, flexibility, balance, self-awareness and confidence. Please check with your doctor if you are not used to physical activity. Most people (age range 50s to 80s) can cope with the programme and appreciate the benefit of regular exercise.

Aqua Fit
Unlike aerobics on land, Aqua Fit (also known as Aqua Aerobics) is a low impact class in the pool that is designed to improve stamina, strength and suppleness as well as increase cardiovascular fitness. The cushioning effect of the water protects joints in the spine, ankle, hips and knees. It is suitable for people of all ages and abilities as participants can work at a variety of levels by increasing effort and using resistance equipment.


BODYATTACK™ is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. A LES MILLS™ instructor will pump out energizing tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way, burning up to 730 calories* and leaving you with a sense of achievement.

A mind and body training class, combining the best of eastern disciplines, like Yoga and Tai Chi with popular new methods such as Pilates. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact.

No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

A fantastic class using barbells and adjustable weights to tone and condition muscles, while raising metabolic rate for rapid fat burning. After an initial warm-up, all the major muscle groups are worked via a series of weight-bearing exercises including squats, presses and lifts. The class finishes with a cool-down and stretch.

Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get huge motivation from sing-along music and approachable instructors. Cardio blocks push fat-burning systems into high gear, followed by muscle –conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

Boxercise is a fun, stress busting activity to suit everyone who wants to enjoy boxing training without getting hit! Boxercise is a varied class that focuses on boxing style training, such as Focus Pads, Skipping Ropes, Medicine Ball Exercises and other more general exercises found in a good circuit class.

Circuits is a high intensity training class which delivers cardiovascular and strength training in different formats to give you an all over body workout. Classes are high in motivation and deliver fast improvement in general endurance and an increase in overall body strength.

Core Stability
This class is designed to improve your range of motion, strength, stability, co-ordination and balance. Your instructor will guide you through a range of exercises making use of mats, exercise balls and small hand weights that are designed to test and improve your core stability muscles, improve your posture and firm up your abs.

Exercising muscles around the core, CXWORX™ provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. All the moves in CXWORX™ have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. Trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, bum and lower back exercises.

Indoor Cycling
An effective motivating cardiovascular workout on our indoor cycles that involves no routines or co-ordination. This class is suitable for all levels from the beginner to the most advanced of riders!

Originating in Russia, a kettlebell is a centuries-old training tool. Kettlebell training is different than other forms of weight training because many parts of the body are exercised simultaneously. Functional, compound exercises work multiple muscle groups simultaneously, with a focus on integrating breathing, movement and alignment. Kettlebell training builds lean muscles, improves strength and power in the upper body, core and lower body and increases co-ordination, joint mobility and overall endurance.

Legs, Bums & Tums (LBT)
Warm up and then tone, tone, tone! Exercises performed on specific muscle groups to tone the body. LBT is a full body aerobic workout that aims to tone up your thighs, bum and stomach.
It’s great for those who want to lose weight or who simply want to increase their fitness levels with a motivated group of people.

Pilates is a holistic exercise system designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance. Pilates improves muscle tone, balances musculature, supports correct posture, and teaches participants to move with ease and grace. Exercises involve the whole body and are performed on a mat, sometimes utilising small equipment.

A combination of Pilates and Yoga which burns calories and tones muscles.

High-intensity interval cycling training set to music that will get your pulse racing. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks and speed work. Like all Les Mills programs, a new RPM class is produced every three moths with new music and choreography.


LES MILLS SPRINT™ is a 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results.
